Unit 2 In the library (Fun Time & Cartoon Time)

Before class : Divide the students into three groups.

Enjoy a song: School rules.

Step 1 Greeting and Warming up

T: What’s the song about ?

Ss: School rules

T: What rules did you hear from the song?

Ss: Dont run. Don’t fight. Be kind to your classmates. Share with your classmates. Listen carefully . Raise your hands.

T: At school we should follow the rules . In class we should follow the rules too . Listen carefully … Lets follow the rules and try to be good students.

(2) Show the four tasks

a. I can look at the pictures and say the words and phrases.

b. I can use Don’t … to stop the others’ improper behavious

c. I can understand Cartoon time and act it out

d. I know the rules in different places

Step 2 Task1

Magic eyes: review the words and phrases eat drink don’t …

Step3 Task2 Try to say

(1) Show the picture of Story time and try to say

T: Who are they ?

Yang Ling reads a book in the library . What does Liu Tao do ?

Ss: Run in the library …

Can he run in the library ?

What does Yang Ling say to Liu Tao ?

Ss:Talk about in pairs

Ss: Don’t …

(2) Ss: Say a chant

(3) Play a game 

Look at the pictures and sentences and judge. If it’s right say Great! If it’s wrong say Oh, no . Don’t …(向生活中的不文明行为说不。)

 

Step4 Task3 Watch a movie

(1) Look and say

Who is he? Where are they?

(2) Watch and circle

What does the little mouse eat/drink/take away?

Teach the words milk  an English book

(3) Look and say

Is Bobby happy?

(4) Think and say

What does Bobby say?

(5) Listen and repeat

(6) Read in groups . Choose one way to read.

(7) Imagine and say

What will Bobby say?

What will the little mouse say?

(8) Act the story

Step5 Task 4 Follow the rules and try to be the rule guards

(1) Make a poster

Each group choose one place. Each student take out his or her signs and say the signs one by one . The others judges . If the sign is right and stick it on the paper to finish the poster . Work in groups . Choose one way to show in class . 

(2) Complete the dialogue and try to act in class

(3) Follow the rules and try to be good students.
